Good question, anon! It’s hard to say, because, in truth, I don’t think Juvia is any match for Silver. I mean, if Gray can freeze Juvia solid, and Silver could freeze NATSU solid with a flick of his finger, it stands to reason Juvia would have no chance at all, right? But then again, it depends on who Silver really is. If he turns out to be F!Gray, he may go to lengths in an attempt to not hurt Juvia, even if she’s antagonistic towards him (if she doesn’t recognize him, which she likely will, though if he is Gray).
However, Juvia said that the only thing that can hurt her water body is magic. But… Silver isn’t using magic, is he? He’s using curses. I think it would be pretty badass if Mashima used that little loophole to have Silver freeze Juvia, only for her to be able to break out of it, because only magic can affect her water. Not that I think Mashima would ever do something like that with Juvia, of course, but a girl can dream haha.
Basically, I think if Juvia encounters Silver, they wont have any kind of real fight, since Silver is meant to fight Gray. At most, she’ll delay him/interact with him/we’ll get some answers (and probably more questions) via their encounter, but I think any fighting she does will have to be alongside Gray if she goes against Silver. And in that case, I’d wish that Juvia is the one who makes the difference, and gives Gray the strength (whether physically, magically, emotionally, or all of the above) to defeat Silver. I don’t want her to just be the damsel in distress.
is a rare instance for me. None of the openings or endings so far have really clicked with me enough that I want to listen to them again but the OST OMG the OST seriously, if you mix irish folk music with hard rock IT IS AN INSTA EARGASM for me seriously. that main theme tho
